Gagik Tsarukyan can eliminate the political vacuum: “Mission” Party leader

On the eve of parliamentary elections the opposition parties are trying to join possible alliances to make their participation in the Parliament more effective and probable. On this occasion a correspondent of Politik.am interviewed “Mission” Party leader Manuk Sukiasyan who noted that their party was also going to join an alliance but its type wasn’t known yet and, to be more accurate, at the upcoming meeting of the party it would be decided how the party would be involved in the parliamentary elections.  “We make adjustments not only to pre-electoral topics but also to a long-term, strategic, collaborative partnership”.

Speaking about Gagik Tsarukyan’s role in the political field, Sukiasyan noted that his departure from politics formed some vacuum in the political field. “He can eliminate the vacuum caused by his absence better than anyone. But until Gagik Tsarukyan hasn’t officially announced about his return to politics I cannot make any comment on that subject”, Manuk Sukiasyan said.

We don’t rule out cooperation with any opposition force except the Republican Party or any other governmental party

Speaking about parties isolated from government and their activity as an opposition he noted, “I consider it a consequence of internal political misunderstanding and divergence of interests, but also I don’t rule out that this might be done to make the opposition field more vulnerable. It is some kind of trick to change beliefs and points of view in one night and become an opposition”. Manuk Sukiasyan added that the time when it was possible to confuse and deceive people has gone. “People are more informed now and it’s unlikely that they will believe in such a fraud”, concluded he.
