In the Syunik region – in Meghri, Agarak, and Kapan – the warm reception and trust of our compatriots once again showed that people are waiting for good changes.
These days, unfortunately, the authorities are once again trying to turn the election campaign into an atmosphere of threats, political blackmail, and fear. Those who speak loudly about democracy today cannot tolerate dissent, and meet every criticism of the opposition with aggression and pressure.
But people no longer want to live in an atmosphere of hatred and enmity. No illegal arrest or political persecution can silence the voice of the people.
I call on you not to lose heart or lose faith. Very soon, together, we will begin a new path – more united and confident in tomorrow. Our goal is to restore the dignity of the Armenian people, trust in the state, and national unity.
