Gagik Tsarukyan presented the program “Proposal to Armenia”

Dear Fellow Citizens,
Back in May, during an interview, I shared my intention to launch the development of the “Proposal for Armenia” program. This is a cross-partisan initiative—a program through which every citizen will be able to understand the most urgent and pressing issues facing themselves, their families, and the nation, as well as explore possible solutions.
This program will be shaped through the combined efforts of sectoral experts, respected scholars, public figures, and committed individuals with ideas and proposals. It will be developed with the direct participation of citizens, as well as the involvement of leading specialists from both Armenia and the Diaspora. Throughout its development, the program will be openly discussed with the public, and the recommendations of both citizens and experts will be consistently and carefully incorporated. This will be a transparent and inclusive process.
As the initiator of this program, I propose we begin with this brief preamble: Armenia needs
1. Internal reconciliation, open public dialogue, the elimination of hostility, and the restoration of unity throughout Armenia.
2. Suspension, freezing, and review of controversial laws and decisions—legislation that harms the country and negatively affects the lives of thousands of people.
3. Thoughtful and peaceful negotiations, rejection of unilateral concessions, a genuine program for lasting peace, mitigation of war risks, restoration of allied relations, establishment of an effective security system, and the implementation of major new economic initiatives.
“Can broad public consensus be achieved around these fundamental points? Absolutely—there is no doubt.”
