I spent my yesterday and today with the youth of Artsakh and I must honestly admit that I had incredible feelings. These young people, deprived of their home and homeland, have so much light, life and faith in them that I feel more obliged to do much more for them.
One beautiful girl from Artsakh brought with her a gift that gave me goosebumps all over my body. Anahit gave me a handful of soil brought from Artsakh to prepare “tarosik” for her wedding, and I promised that with this soil we would plant a tree in the yard of my house, and with the rest of the soil we would plant a tree together in Shushi. Anahit was at my place today, and we together planted a tree that symbolizes the unity of Armenia and Artsakh and the belief that one day we will definitely plant a tree together in Anahit’s historical homeland. This faith is incredibly dear to me, and I will do my best to always live up to it and be close to these bright young people.
May God bless all the young people of Armenia and Artsakh…
